Still having issues with my dogs. The shelter offers no other help except spay/neuter vouchers (they are both spayed already). I am not sure what to do. Any ideas? With the heat here my dogs are both lethargic and I am not sure if it IS the heat or these hookworms making them feel lousy. I do know that it is breaking my heart and I don't know what to do.
oh my goodness... Thank you for sharing.. These are adorable.. I miss my dog so much.. I was never one for dressing him up, but the one of the dog dressed as a turkey is just tooooo much and it did make me smile..
This past two weeks have been very trying.. First my stepfather was rushed to the hospital, turns out it was his gallbladder and he had to have a surgery, he's okay now and is taking time healing.. Then my dog, a miniature dachshund passed away, and he was quite literally one of my best and most loyal friends... I actually adopted two kittens a week later from a friend to attempt to help fill the literal void I feel inside now, only to find out from someone who had adopted kittens from the same home that they have feline leukemia, and as far as I know it's treatable, but not curable.. I don't love them any less.. I just feel badly that someone would give me two cats that could have only a little bit of a lifespan knowing that I just lost my dog that I cried over for a week, and am just now able to keep myself together when I think of him. His name was one of my sons first words.. They would chase each other everywhere and my son would laugh hysterically.. They fought over my lap and would act jealous of one another.. It hurts when someone or something you've bonded to is no longer there.. Then I ended up sick, the only energy I have at the moment is spent on my son, and all I can say at the moment is thank goodness for naps, because he and I both needed it lol. If I had a hat right now I would tip it to any parent who has chronic pain but still gets up every morning to take care of their children and goes the extra mile.. I have been doing it for a week now and it has been exhausting and has made me wonder what it's like to feel healthy, I'll be okay, I know it's one of those times where it takes time to feel better and I will, but for those who won't or have a hard time doing so I applaud you and hope your condition at least improves because you deserve it. I hope everyone has been as well as they can be, and once again, I'm always here to lend a stranger an ear. I always like to take photos when I get the chance to of things that remind me that it's good to be here, to be able to witness some beauty in the world, so maybe I'll start attaching a few when I update.

Hope all is well and feeling better. Me leg ulcer and doctors. Then couldn't sleep Monday night in pain so much. Took homeopathy at 4am and slept till 9.
Once the grocery man gets here I am taking a nap.

Your mom needs to get a trust not only a will. I think as out here a will the house would have gone to probate verses to us without a trust and mom's house had been paid for. Sorry for your loss of brother and the other in prison. I had a cousin do time in prison long story ,, he was a bouncer at a bar , big man.

There is a big problem in this country now and it does not have the money to keep going like it is. Bush spent 9 trillion dollars over 8 years but Obama has spent 5 trillion dollars in just over 26 months in office. Someone needs to get on the job before no one can get SS, SSI, SSDI, Medicare, Medcaid, and so on.
The states are going broke and all the unions wnat is more money. They just dont get it or dont care what happens down the road. I cannot stand the fact that the the Dems and Reps. dont get it as well. Need to kick them all out and start over I think....
My mom may have a will but not sure. She does not see fit to tell me anyting. I'm not sure that she has told my 2 brothers either. In any case I guess she will sometime down the road. I do know she told me that she has no life ins. but has grave site...
I had one younger brother to die back in 2000 and one younger is in prision until 2030. My youngest brother is living at home with mom, because she cannot make it on her own. The home was paid for with cash by my grandfather when it was built back in 1973. Both of her cars are paid for as well so that is good.
I'm just not sure what she is going to do. She did state some time back that she might sell home and move into condo...Who Knows...

Cats were meant to be outside. Safer inside but they were meant to be outside. Have your mom get a living trust and in the blank trust have her write down who gets what and have it nortrized. Then when the end comes the will goes and the trustee goes into effect. In fact she can start to give away personal items when she feels fit. Death brings out the greedy for sure and that is not good for any of us. My rich boss his dad is left and his dad is well off. His sister is well of and married to an attorney and he dreads the day his dad dies as his sister will give him hell over the money. What is left.
I think in due time is the country doesn't turn around and more get feed up there will be our own up revolution. No one knows what to do but the only alternative is to live with others to cut the cost of living.
Who would have thought we be in this mess. Manager told me yesterday he sees people shopping and he said I can't. Like to see those people save their money as it is not going to get better or help someone who needs it. It will be a rat race to see who can get what food etc...See facebook petition for planned parenthood not to close it.

Some people can be a real pain in the butt ! Have no clue what will happen when my mother will past and what my brothers will want to do...I;m sure it will be a mess...I will be glad when the warm weather comes back as well. I's 37 here today and raining. A little colder and it will turn into snow I guess. I do not know what to do anymore whit the country going to Hell In A Handbag !

in response to hanks55...I kept thinking about my cat last night and all I wanted to add to his blog spot I did. I really miss him even though he could be a handful. It was a better life for us at the house with the yard and him being able to go in and out of course me the door man through all of this. I miss the house and hate it here. Only if my sister would have sold me her share in the begging instead of being greedy and stubborn plus non communicative. Everything would have been settled. Some people are just butt heads to put it nicely when there is death in family and she is one. Such is life.

My sheets and things look like a tornado hit it. I was bored on the net and called it quits by 1030 went to bed by 1130. Then couldn't sleep good. Woke at 3am so not fun. I know it is easy living in a city do to access to many things but i dont want to die before my time however that could happen anywhere...But ilike living in country settings that are close to large towns or cities...You do not have to even lock your doors here, but we do just incase...I lived in Washington DC, for years and made good money but hated living there...Well my headache is still hanging in there so will go for now and will check in later...We just got hit with another snow storm which i'm sure is on tv... 1 & 1/2 feet to 5 feet on the east coast...

in response to hanks55...This is city and even the beach was hit with gangs, shootings and copters from 11AM till 12midnightso I wanted out. It got worse down there and out her is okay but I have seen guns pulled from cops chasing a car at a gas station I was at. 13 cops car pulled into this little station and I got out of there. The bank I use to go to one day had a feeling it was robbed pulled up later to do my banking and cops were there is had been robbed it really caused post traumatic stress for one teller. The bank put up plexi glass window but still got robbed as they were near a freeway.

Starshine I filed a chapter 7 just 3 years ago and I was able to buy a home this past Feb 2010...If you can show that you have payed you rent on time and other you stand a good chance of being able to buy something or rent another place....However, you may need to reapply if it has been sometime since you applyed for a cut in your rent....You should be able to get it since you only get 1200.00 a month....

It is cool here and windy and I am okay. I hear the snow was bad everywhere. no drivers license yet i keep waking at 730 and by 5pm take a nap crazy.. Wish you could have stayed longer. Man I had a dream yesterday was at the ocean and it was great driving right next to it hearing the waves and at my favorite beach then woke up to reality not there!! So that is where my heart it at. in response to hanks55...I heard that and boy 18 is cold. All of those things are bad about FL plus hurricanes that rip through the coast there are worse. I think Hawaii might be the answer for those highs and I know someone who lives there not rich but been in the a part of the service for a while. I haven't heard from him I a long time but l would love to visit there. So much to do and so little time.

in response to hanks55...Hello I use to have all electric heat in the winter and it was not cheap in CA if you left it on but now a days it would be horrible to have all electric as the rates have gone up. When I first moved here to this apartment the gas hadn't been turned on the manager loaned me a heater than really drove the electric bill up. I prefer electric stoves and even heat to a degree as my sense of smell is not there. And when there is a problem with a gas appliance my sixth sense tells me to check things where I have found the polite light off. My cousin moved from Long Island to Florida long ago as she couldn't take the snow anymore. Oh well off the another day. take care
We are in for cooler temps low 33 which is bad here and high 50. I was going to wait to 1030AM to get up since I was up to 230 last night. Now to order me something to eat.

Running all elec. heat can be high in the winter. i have a fire place with gas logs but was unable to get a tank of gas brought out before the winter sey in.
Also have a fuel heater but gives me headaces.....
The snow is heavy today with wind blowing about 50 mph. to 70 mph gust...so were are having a lot of snow griffs....
Hope all is well on the West Coast ! I still believe I will be moving south...Love it here...But too cold...
